The above picture taken in 1976, catches one of those moments when we all had a good time, including the Toastmaster in the picture. What had happened was member Howard Rigdon, a staunch Republican, swore that if that peanut farmer, Jimmy Carter, was elected President he would eat a peanut butter and baloney sandwich. He forgot saying this but the other members did not, so after the election, when the rest of the members were being served a fine dinner, Howard got the Carter special. The look on his face was priceless.
